T.A.D. Valuation Information
It is that time of year again!!

Now is the time to send in your notice of protest to the Tarrant Appraisal District. We have not and will not receive notice from the district this year because they only send notice if you meet one of the following conditions...

A. The appraised value of the property is at least $1,000 more than in the preceding year;
B. The property has been rendered by the owner
C. The property was not on the appraisal roll in the preceding year
D. The owner of the property is different from the owner in the preceding year
E. The value of the property was determined as a part of the appraisal district's planned periodic notice to property owners regardless of any change in value.

You can still dispute your value though by sending a written dispute, by May 31st to the following address...

Tarrant Appraisal Review Board
2500 Handley-Ederville Road
Fort Worth, Texas, 76118

Your written dispute needs to include the following information...
1. Be in writing
2. Identify the protesting property owner
3. Identify the property that is subject to protest
4. Indicate dissatisfaction with some determination of the appraisal office
5. Be postmarked or delivered to the Tarrant Appraisal Review Board by May 31 or the deadline date printed on the Notice of Appraised Value, whichever is later. The Tarrant Appraisal Review Board's address is 2500 Handley-Ederville Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76118

I would recommend that you look at the following websites if you would like to dispute your taxes...

Please contact Annette Jacobs at (817)297-0171 if you would like to be part of an effort to do the research as a group. She is contacting a real estate agent currently to determine market value in our neighborhood. If you did not protest last year you should have a good chance at reducing your values because many of us received reductions last year from the appraisal district. Last year hearings were held in August so we will have a bit of time to gather our data and make our presentation. Association members must be current on their dues to be a part of this research group.
